Yep, what Mainecat said. Also, it's the refineries being down that cause a problem. Did you know that oil platforms only find oil approximatly 5% of the time? It's worthwhile for them to drill though, because whatever the price of oil is at the time they do find oil, is what they file their asset claim at for that particular find.

Went down to 31 here. I covered up the garden with a bunch of old sheets from our waterbed days ... went out there to take them off and there was still ice on them this morning (But, I did save a bunch of baby jalepeno pepeprs and about five more zucchini a ton of tomatoes and some bell peppers. I figure I have about 1 more week to be able to harvest and we're done with the regular crops. Few more weeks and we'll be getting in the cabbage/brussel sprouts and sweet potatoes.

Yeah, its scary. ANd they pulled all the new voting machines because someone claimed cell phones could interfere with someone's vote using the electronic machines, so we're back to hanging chads. I don't think governor Strickland's all that much better than "F" for Failure Taft was.... ALTHOUGH he did reinstitute the reciprococity agreement between Ohio and PA so we can ride in PA on our $8 for three year registrations. (Pa's is $20 for 2 years).

The latest round of layoffs in T-burg affect you any? Hope not. I heard they're letting 65 more go... Everyone's tightening down pretty hard around here. Our company had a pretty big temporary workforce and they're letting them all go next Friday (They told them today) No trips, no expenditures... nothing.

Wanna be scared some more? THey're allowing "early voting" -- it started yesterday. All you need is to bring a utility bill and a photo id to the board of elections and you can vote early. The news anchors were joking around saying "Vote early and often" but it's not so funny...it's true... it's fairly easy to fool them into letting people vote and vote again. UGH!

Yes it's very scary. Even scarier yet is that they're pushing the absentee ballot. What a lot of people don't realize is they don't even COUNT the absentee ballots unless the votes come really close adn they have to use it for a tie breaker or something like that. THis election's scary. (And I voted democrat for the first time in many many years during the primary... I knew I probably wouldn't vote it in the primary, but I figured I'd SO MUCH rather have Hillary back in the white house than Obama (She did an okay job when she was in it before... you DON'T think BIll did all that work, do you?) :)
Guess I should add that I voted democrat because it was obvious McCain would get the nomination... I figured if the dems were going to elect someone, I'd rather it be Hillary than Obama...

I can't find it on Amazon.com -- seeing as how my family's history (which is published in a stinking FOLDER of all things) was located on Amazon.com -- I thought for sure the Book of Riggs would be there. Whazzup wit dat?
